Welcome to the UAH Library Skylab Database!

Skylab was America's first experimental space station. Designed for long duration mission, Skylab program objectives were twofold: To prove that humans could live and work in space for extended periods, and to expand our knowledge of solar astronomy well beyond Earth-based observations. More information about the Skylab project itself can be found on NASA's website.

The Salmon Library at UAH houses several documents and artifacts gained from engineers who worked on the Skylab project in Huntsvile, Al during the 1970's. The library welcomes everyone to Archives to peruse these materials.

To gain access to these documents, please make a note of the citations, including the "Location" field. Documents can be accessed in the Archives department during regular operating hours. You can also view the entire Skylab Bibliography in Adobe PDF format. 27p. (176kb). For more information about archives, contact Anne Coleman at 256-824-6523 or email colemana@email.uah.edu.
