Plane Trigonometry, 1937, 1937-04
Scope and Contents
Document Type: Textbook (Technical).
Purpose: Training and Education.
Authority: Author Expertise.
Scope (from Preface to First Edition and Preface to Revised Edition):
"This text contains the material that is usually required for a semester's course in trigonometry. Since the present tendency is in the direction of a concise treatment, an effort has been made to present clearly and without too much detail the essentials of the subject."
"The principal changes are as follows: (1) A new chapter on logarithms has been added for the student who has had little practice in the theory and use of logarithms. (2) A great many new problems and exercises have been added. There are now nearly twice as many well graded exercises as in the first edition, with each set of exercises forming a page unit or a unit of several pages. (3) A brief discussion of approximate measurement is given. (4) The exercises are arranged in such a way that the instructor may select either odd-numbered or even-numbered exercises. Answers are provided only for the odd-numbered exercises."
