Series: Nondestructive Testing Monographs and Tracts #5

NB: "This series concentrates on the methods of, and techniques in, nondestructive testing (NDT) and will publish information and data obtained from applications, exper-imentation, and theory; improved methodology; instrumentation modification and developments; application of the methodology to new and different problems or problem areas, and analysis, discussion, and evaluation of standard methodology. Each volume may be devoted to one method or subject or may contain papers on a number of methods."

Scope (from Preface): "The papers contained in this monograph were selected from a much broader agenda given at a conference on "Nondestructive Evaluation for Aerospace Require-ments," which was held in Huntsville, Alabama on August 26 and 27, 1987. The objective of the conference was to provide a forum for discussion of the rapidly changing requirements in NDE resulting from the many technological changes occurring in structures and propulsion systems used for aerospace transportation, space appli-cations, and missile systems."
