Scope (from Preface): "Even as changes and improvements are made in gas-turbine engines, so must changes and improvements be made in textbooks describing these engines. For this reason, the third edition of Jet Aircraft Power Systems has been written to bring new information on gas-turbine engines to the student of aircraft powerplants and to reflect the experience gained in the use of gas-turbine engines for aircraft during the time that such engines have been employed in regular commercial service....
