Scope:
"Aircraft Power Plants has been prepared to provide the stu-dent, mechanic, and aviation technician with a well-rounded background of information on aircraft engines, engine accessories, and power-plant systems. Aircraft Power Plants is one of a series of three texts prepared by Northrop Aeronautical Institute. These texts are designed to encompass information on all phases of airframe and power-plant operation and maintenance. The other two texts in the series are Aircraft Basic Science and Aircraft Maintenance and Repair.
The revised edition of Aireraft Power Plants has been brought up to date by the addition of new descriptive material and illustrations on aviation fuels, carburetors, direct fuel injection, super-chargers, low-tension ignition systems, spark plugs, engine-analyzing and -testing equipment, automatic and controllable propellers, turbojet engines, compound engines, and numerous other items."
