Scope: Made as an advertisment for Short Brothers Skyvan cargo aircraft.

Contents: Discusses need for short take-off and landing (STOL) aircraft for cargo and passenger access to remote and austere airfields. Opens with scenes from London Airport showing "modern air travel and cargo operations". Discusses how Short Brothers build the "Belfast" strategic freighter to handle "outsized military cargo". Based on market research in the commercial market, created the multi-purpose, light transport "Skyvan" to meet these needs. Has twice the performance of its competitors and can operate from unprepared surfaces. Can hold 18 passengers and/or several pallets of cargo. Video discusses carrying capacity specifications in detail.

Aircraft is made in Belfast, N. Ireland. Video shows aircraft being designed (on drafting tables) and built in Short Brothers factory. Also explains ground and air crew training. Includes discussion of turbo-prop engines and after-sales support by Bristol-Sydney joint engine company.
