Note: The booklets were found with Wartime Training Course #22 Study Materials (related to Aircraft Design and Engineering) and "Aircraft Materials and Processes" Course Syllabus (under Engineering Defense Training, Lawrence Institute of Technology). All were likely used by George P. Martin during extensive wartime course work, likely at Lawrence Institute of Technology in Michigan.
Scope: This series of 26 booklets were prepared in 1943 by the International Textbook Company of Scranton, Pennsylvania on behalf of the Manufacturing Operations Section, Bureau of Aeronautics, U. S. Navy Department.
The booklets were for use in courses on aircraft manufacturing, maintenance and tooling. The courses were designed to train personnel in the manufacturing and maintenance of aircraft during World War II, focusing on the tools and techniques necessary for effective aircraft production. This program was part of the Navy's efforts to enhance its aeronautical capabilities during the war.

Stapled 5" x 7.5" booklets (32-64 pages each) with brown cardstock covers. Printed on semi-glossy paper. Includes black & white photographs, graphs and drawings. Staples removed.
Note: Overall good condition. Moderate browning of paper. Spine of #13 partially torn.
Note 2: "G. [George] P. Martin" written in ink on each cover.
