Scope: This book was produced (written and illustrated) and published in 1977 by Paul R. Matt for readers interested in the history of American aviation, especially model builders. It was edited by Thomas G. Foxworth and Kenn C. Rust.

The book includes articles about specific airplanes, as well as other biographical and historical information related to aviation. Each article consists of pages of text and photographs and two or more pages of detailed three-view or four-view scale drawings of the aircraft from the top / bottom view(s) and side view(s).

The front cover includes a full-color photgraph of a Douglas A-20A "Havoc".

Format & Physical Description

Perfect-bound 8.5" x 11" booklet with multi-colored cardstock covers (72 pages plus covers). Printed on semi-glossy paper. Includes numerous scale drawings and black & white photographs and charts.

Note: Overall very good condition with several loose pages near the back. Moderate browning of paper.

Note 2: Page numbering in Volume XV continues from Volume XIV, starting on page 284 and ending with page 355.

Note 3: Includes a folded 11" x 14" single-sided sheet labeled List 2-77 and titled "Historical Aviation Album: Full Size 3-View Scale Drawings of Famous Airplanes of the Past." This form could be used to order "full sized prints" (aprox. 16" x 22") of almost 100 scale drawings.
