Scope: Annual company business report written and published in the 3d quarter of 1959 by the Menasco Manfuacturing Company (with Divisions in Burbank CA and Fort Worth TX). This annual report celebrates Menasco's 25th Anniversary as a company and includes a brief company history. During this period, Menasco continued to focus on aircraft landing gear, however it began to build parts for space and missile vehicles as a sub-contract.

From page 5: "On this the 25th Anniversary of the founding of your Company, it is my pleasure to present the year-end review of its activities. In all respects the Silver Jubilee fiscal year which ended June 30, 1959, was the best in history. New record highs were established in sales volume, net earnings, working capital and stockholders' equity as shown in the financial highlights on the opposite page.

One of the important developments during the past year was your Company's breakthrough into the missile field in a significant way. Recent new orders have been received for pressure vessels for the Atlas ICBM produced by Convair, the Discoverer satellite produced by Lockheed, the Corvus missile produced by Temco and the X-15 Space Airplane produced by North American. Research and development are continuing on many other aspects of the space program and this work is expected to result in still further diversification of our production and to take up the slack caused by the declining future demand for landing gears for manned aircraft.

In spite of the record shipments of the past year, our backlog. while down from previous levels, is still sufficient to insure a continued high rate of production for the 1960 fiscal year."
