Scope: Letter from William Thompson to AEHS (Kim McCutcheon) donating three DC-6 and DC-7 lithography prints to AEHS. Written circa 1924.
Contents:
The donor (William Thompson) stated in this letter, "While living in Long Beach, California in the 1960s, a neighbor who worked at Douglas Aircraft [Company] gave me these prints. I know they will be taken care of by the Historical Society [AEHS]." Based on additional information from Kim McCutcheon, we believe the neighbor who gave the prints to Mr. Thompson was an employee in the Douglas Aircraft Engineering Offices in Long Beach, CA who acquired these Douglas prints from the company when it disposed of them during construction/renovation of the facility.
