Purpose: Operations (authoritative).
Authority: Operator (Commercial).
Document Number: Pan Am [Boeing B-] 727 Flight Engineer's Flight Manual.
Scope: Mandatory use flight operations manual for aircrew.
From the Introduction: "The Flight Engineer's Flight Manual provides flight crewmembers and other Flight Operations personnel with sufficient written and descriptive information to allow the supervision of or actual performance of routine airplane fluid servicing at off-line stations. In addition, the FEM provides sufficient information to allow proper completion of applicable forms and fulfillment of pertinent maintenance responsibilities.
Selected information on the airplane systems is included in the FEM Systems section, and is intended to supplement the AOM.
Maintenance instructions are intentionally excluded from the FEM. Routine airplane fluid servicing is limited to those items that do not require a new Airworthiness Release Signature except when specifically authorized by the Airline Technical Control Center.
"TECHNICAL ADVISORIES (PINK PAGES): TAs will use the ATA maintenance numbering system and are to be filed behind the last page of the applicable chapter or section. A Technical Advisory Summary will be included on each revision Highlights page. TAs of general interest only will be labeled "Information Only."
This manual is published by the System Director, Flight Standards (NYCFDPA), under the authority of the Vice President-Flight Operations."
Contents: Includes Sections 8 (Maintenance - General), 12 (Servicing) and 14 (Systems). Also includes 10+ Technical Advisories.
