Scope and Contents
Document Type: Manual (Engine Operations).
Purpose: Operations (authoritative).
Authority: Company (Manufacturer).
Document Number: Publication No. 3M.
Scope:
From the Introduction: “The intent of this booklet is to provide you, the flight crew member, with a guide of how Allison feels you should operate, trouble shoot, and "write-up" the engine and propellers. Remember, this guide does not constitute an official document and you are not required by any regulatory group to follow its suggestions; at no time do the values given necessarily constitute a limit, even though sometimes they may be the same as limits.
This guide, particularly in the operation section, is only to give you a base line from which to build your own individual techniques. It is fully realized that there maybe other ways just as effective to get the job done."
Contents: Contents include sections on: Engine Instruments, Operating Techniques and Trouble Shooting.
