Contents:
From the introduction: "After considerable experience with the methods of power control being used in the scheduled performance of commercial transport airplanes by various air lines, it appears feasible to set up certain recommendations for the assistance of the pilot in control of the engine during all phases of any scheduled flight. There are a number of different systems being used by the various air lines which in some cases are difficult for the pilot to use in flight where conditions are rapidly changing. Many of these can be abbreviated in such a manner as to fit the practical requirements of service operation and yet have sufficient accuracy to attain the desired result, which is, of course, the intelligent control of the power output of the engines consistent with economy of operation and long life of equipment."
