Scope: Report extract showing Class 244 (Aeronautics) patents held by enemy (or occupied) aliens [i.e. non-U.S. citizens] which were seized at the start of World War II and vested in the Alien Property Custodian for use by U.S. companies for the war effort. This report is a sort of sampler, in which key patent information and descriptions, including a single drawing, were reproduced--several to a page--from the Patent Office Official Gazette.
Contents:
- The first section includes 60 pages covering 247 patents. This appears to have been part of the original report created in mid-1942 and includes pages 3295 through 3354 of the overall Alien Property Custodian report.
- The second section is 8 pages long and covers an additonal 58 patents apparently granted after the inital report was created. This section includes pages 4391 through 4398 of the overall Alien Property Custodian report.
